| The Ferrovia Monte Generoso SA is pleased to announce that its campsite, the Camping Monte Generoso in Melano, has received the ACSI 2024 award as „Best campsite restaurant” in Switzerland.
Between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, campers from all over Europe expressed their preferences by voting in eight categories defined by the historic Dutch company „Auto Camper Service International” (ACSI).
Founded in 1965, ACSI has established itself as a European leader in the related field, becoming a true reference for camping enthusiasts. Known for its reliable and informative camping guides, the company also offers a wide range of products and services for campers, including printed guides, online services such as a camping search engine, as well as camping vacation packages.
Camping Monte Generoso’s victory this year follows its success in 2022, when the same campsite won the ACSI award „Best Campsite for Dogs” in Switzerland.
These awards underscore the ongoing efforts of the staff and team to provide a first-class camping experience for their guests. Efforts that have earned Camping Monte Generoso’s restaurant this distinction, thanks also to the usage of local products and menus that celebrate the richness of the regional cuisine.
