Dometic today announced that its Unrestricted Small Backpack has been named Backpack Product of the Year at the 2026 Outdoor Innovation Awards, an international program recognizing the most forward‑thinking products across the outdoor industry.
Hosted annually by the Outdoor Innovation Awards, the program honors products that demonstrate outstanding innovation, performance, sustainability and real-world usability. Selected by an independent panel of industry experts, media and designers, the awards spotlight gear that meaningfully advances how people live, move and explore outdoors. Small never carried so much. The Unrestricted Small Backpack expands Dometic’s Unrestricted line with a compact, daily ready backpack designed to move seamlessly between commute, travel and adventure—combining high performance cooling, smart organization and durable construction in an agile form.
Built with advanced recycled materials and proven cooling technology, it features 100% recycled PrimaLoft® Gold insulation, a 100% recycled 900D CORDURA® re/cor exterior, and a seam welded, leak resistant 420D TPU interior. YKK AQUAGUARD® zippers and recycled components ensure rugged, water resistant performance.
Designed as a true backpack with integrated cooler functionality, the insulated main compartment holds up to 28 cans, while everyday features include a 16 inch laptop sleeve, multiple pockets, dual bottle holders, and ergonomic OrthoLite® padded straps. Connect Ice™ compatibility and leak resistant construction keep contents cold and dry throughout the day.
