ISSIMO, the digital extension of the Pellicano Hotels Group and Byredo, the European luxury brand, are thrilled to present a unique collaboration, a snapshot of summer untamed that captures the escapism of la dolce vita within a limited-edition scented candle: L’Orto Italiano.
Working together with tastemaker Marie-Louise Sciò, CEO and Creative Director the Pellicano Hotels, Ben Gorham, Founder & Creative Director of Byredo, formulated an olfactory story that transports to an Italian garden and exudes a relaxed elegance that is rooted in the locale – estival, green and singular.

With a shared interest in the art of the good life, the scent reflects the duo’s appreciation of Italian culinary traditions, where seasonal produce is prepared with simplicity to showcase their freshness. Bonding al fresco over Ciliegine Caprese, the candle opens with the warm familiarity of tomato leaf and basil. Like a taste of summer, when ingredients become their most aromatic under the hot sun, earthy, herbaceous notes channel the myriad smells of Italian landscape, rounded out with bamboo and crisp amber.
