With the summer season almost here, I am reaching out with our recent piece of research, revealing the most exclusive historic castles and mansions you can rent in the United Kingdom on Airbnb.
The team at BestBrokers scoured the website for the most exclusive — and expensive historic castles, mansions and country houses in the United Kingdom, suitable not only for private use but for wedding ceremonies and corporate events as well. We ranked the properties by nightly rate, including all applicable fees and discounts. To convert the prices into Euro, we used the ECB exchange rateas of April 16.
- Six of the UK’s most extraordinary historic castles and mansions on Airbnb are nestled in England, five are scattered across Scotland, while the remaining one is tucked away in Wales;
- With a jaw-dropping nightly rate of €12,786 the Remenham Court, a Grade II listed private venue on the beautiful riverbank of Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, ranks as the most expensive offering on our list;
- Craig-y-nos Castle, a Scots baronial-style country house near Glyntawe in Powys, Wales, sits at the bottom of the ranking, charging “only” €5,591 per night; it was once home of the famous 19th-century opera singer Adelina Patti;
- One of the most remarkable rentals on Airbnb is the Middleton Castle in Norfolk; it boasts its own moat and a rich history dating back to 1455 when it was built by Thomas Scales, 7th Baron Scales, a military commander in the Hundred Years’ War.
