Florida has long been a magnet for loved up couples and now new research has named the most shared spots for beach proposals.
Car rental experts at StressFreeCarRental.com looked at Instagram posts tagged #FloridaProposal to find out which are the most popular beaches to get down on one knee.

The researchers found Miami’s South Beach, also known as SoBe, is the number one spot for beach proposals in the sunshine state, living up to its reputation as the self-proclaimed ‘Sun and Fun Capital of the World’.
South Beach is home to some of Florida’s most exciting nightlife and is beloved by A listers such as Jennifer Lopez and her rapper ex P Diddy.
The next most popular Florida beach to propose was over on the Gulf of Mexico coast at Clearwater Beach which as the name suggests is known for its stunning clear waters.
Although technically a town, Palm Beach, back over on the Atlantic coast, ranked third most popular spot for a Florida beach proposal.
Next on the list is St Augustine, on the state’s north Atlantic coast which is popular with water sports lovers and adrenaline junkies.
The next beach on the list was Pensacola Beach which offers a lively atmosphere as well as some secluded areas for those looking to have quieter moments.
Number six on the list is Cocoa Beach, a firm favourite with families located close to Port Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Centre.
The next most popular beach for a wedding proposal was Siesta Key, back over on the Gulf coast. It’s one of Florida’s most talked about beaches with the sand being around 99% quartz – this means that even in the hottest of conditions, it remains silky and soft to walk on.
Another popular location for beach proposals is Peacock beach, which like Cocoa Beach is very close to the Kennedy Space Center. The beach is Instagram famous thanks to its population of real peacocks.
The top ten spots for beach proposals is completed by Anna Maria Island. The beaches here are known as one of Florida’s best kept secrets. It’s very peaceful with virtually no crowds of people and still there is still lots to do nearby.
