ARCHIPELAGO ABROAD
Stories of the Philippine Diaspora in Belgium
From January 17 to March 1, 2024
Opening Night: Wednesday, January 17 at 6 PM
The Migration Museum (MMM) presents its new temporary exhibition: „ARCHIPELAGO ABROAD”, a fascinating exploration of the stories of the Philippine diaspora in Belgium.
Through a series of visual, auditory, and narrative testimonials, this exhibition sheds light on the journeys, challenges, and successes of members of the Philippine community living in Belgium. It invites visitors to reflect on how these individual experiences are part of Belgium’s broader migration history.
A Cultural and Human Experience
„ARCHIPELAGO ABROAD” gives a voice to a community that is often underrepresented, creating a space to reflect on themes of migration, identity, and integration. The exhibition serves as a bridge between cultures, intertwining personal stories and collective memory to foster a deeper understanding of the human connections that bind our society together.
