Let me introduce ourselves. We are tuktukrental.com, an adventure & social start-up operating in Sri Lanka and have since expanded to India, with other countries on the horizon. Our goal is to improve the lives and incomes of tuktuk owners by renting their assets to tourists for self-drive adventures in paradise.
By renting out these tuktuks from the local community (instead of purchasing our own fleet to exploit commercially), we give back to the people while providing our customers with life-changing experiences. We believe the most authentic and best way to travel anywhere in the world is to travel like a local.
We’ve sought ways to overcome the traditional Sri Lankan low seasonal months. In 2017, we launched the first edition of our Tuktuk Tournament. We’re now entering the 4th edition, which has already gained over 50 tuktuk team sales and is planned to be hosted from 18th October to 28th October 2022.
The Tuktuk Tournament is an event in line with our business model; social, sustainable and engaging participants to explore true Sri Lankan culture, hospitality and way of life, but in a game-like setting.
