Travel from the United Kingdom to Armenia is set to become significantly more accessible with the launch of new direct flights between London and Yerevan starting 12 June 2026, strengthening inbound tourism from the UK market.
The new route, operated by Wizz Air via London Luton Airport, will provide UK travellers with a direct and convenient connection to Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, supporting increased visitor numbers and reinforcing Armenia’s growing appeal as a cultural and experiential destination.
The Tourism Committee of Armenia has identified the UK as a priority source market, with growing interest from British travellers seeking authentic experiences that combine rich history, distinctive gastronomy, wellness offerings, and diverse natural landscapes. Improved air connectivity, together with visa-free entry for British citizens, makes Armenia an increasingly accessible and attractive travel choice.
“The introduction of direct flights between London and Yerevan marks an important milestone in strengthening tourism ties between Armenia and the United Kingdom,” said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Armenia. “The UK is a key market for us, and improved accessibility, combined with visa-free travel, will make it even easier for visitors to discover Armenia’s culture, cuisine, nature, and warm hospitality. We look forward to welcoming more travellers from the UK.”
London Luton Airport’s extensive transport links across the UK further position the route as a convenient national gateway, supporting Armenia’s long-term tourism development strategy and expanding international connectivity.
Further details on flight schedules and ticket availability will be announced closer to the launch date.
