The 14th edition of La Stelvio Santini 2026, scheduled for June 6 and 7, is set to welcome hundreds of cyclists from around the world for a weekend dedicated to the passion for cycling and the discovery of Valtellina. The major new feature for 2026 is the debut of the Stelvio Santini Gravel, which will join the traditional road event while preserving the spirit that defines the event: fun, safety and the promotion of the local territory. The heart of the event will be the new Village at the Bormio Sports Center, serving as a hub for athletes, partners and cycling enthusiasts. Registration remains open until May 30.
The countdown is on. Only a few days remain until the 14th edition of La Stelvio Santini, taking place on Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7. This special edition marks the official debut of the gravel event on Saturday, a new addition set to further expand the experience of one of the most eagerly awaited events on the amateur cycling calendar.
The format remains unchanged: at the core of the event are fun, the joy of riding and the opportunity to safely experience the extraordinary roads and landscapes of Valtellina. As tradition dictates at La Stelvio Santini, rankings will once again be determined by timed sections along the climbs featured on the route.
With registrations about to close, 1,267 participants have already confirmed their attendance, including 139 women. A total of 83 riders have chosen the combo option, which will see them take part in both the gravel and road events. On Saturday June 6, 172 cyclists will line up for the first edition of the Stelvio Santini Gravel, while nearly 1,200 riders are expected to take part in the road event on Sunday. The pair registration option has once again proven highly successful, with asmany as 256 participants signing up through this formula.
The event continues to grow internationally, with 42 countries represented. After Italy, whichleads with 393 participants, the largest groups come from Germany (147), Switzerland (93), the United Kingdom (81) and the Netherlands (78). Riders will also travel from non-European countries including India, Colombia and Australia, confirming the event’s global appeal.The Saturday gravel event, organised in collaboration with 3T, will also feature members of TeamReverb and the Reverb community from Bergamo.There will also be a new headquarters for the event: the Village and Expo Area will be set up at theBormio Sports Center, which participants will find renovated following the Milano Cortina 2026Olympic Games. This is where riders will collect their race numbers and race packs, including theofficial Santini jersey that must be worn during Sunday’s road event.
The area will also host sponsor stands, partner technical corners and refreshment spaces dedicated to cyclists and accompanying guests.The Village and Expo Area will open on Friday June 5 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. On Saturday June6, opening hours will be from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The Stelvio Santini Gravel awards ceremony willtake place at 5:00 pm, followed at 5:30 pm by the official briefing dedicated to the road event. The Road event awards ceremony will instead be held on Sunday June 7 at 4:00 pm.More than just an amateur competition, La Stelvio Santini is an immersive experience in the heart of Valtellina and a unique opportunity to discover one of Europe’s most spectacular regions by bike.
