CAPTURED IN AFRICA, a South African based tour operator, have released their brand new and exclusive guided conservation safari, offering travellers glimpses of Africa’s impressive array of wildlife and insight into wildlife conservation efforts.

Captured In Africa’s exclusive RHINO ROUTE is an 8-day safari that takes you behind the scenes into efforts to save the rhino. Hear directly from rhino orphan carers and anti-poaching rangers, whilst absorbing Africa’s beautiful land, people and wildlife.

Captured In Africa’s CEO Drew Abrahamson, describes the idea and Importance behind the RHINO ROUTE;
„We previously and continue to offer our unique BIG CAT ROUTE; which is a conservation safari focused on the plight of big cats, both in the wild and in captivity. This time around, we felt passionate about also highlighting the devasting impact we’re unfortunately seeing on our rhinos. The RHINO ROUTE is a chance for everyone to appreciate these magnificent animals in their wild habitat, but importantly a chance for travellers to understand the issues that are affecting rhinos and why they’re poached. There are still many people who are unaware of the complex issues, they understand that poaching exists but may not know why or how or what’s happening to stop it. So we feel it’s critical to help them understand and at the same time, help those on the ground who are fighting this war; the rangers, K9’s, anti-poaching units, vets and rescue orphanages – many of whom we also work with as part of our own efforts at our NPO Captured In Africa Foundation.”

Guests on Captured In Africa’s RHINO ROUTE will visit some of South Africa’s famed historical and beautiful landmarks including the Cradle of Humankind and Blyde River Canyon. The group will then visit a renowned rhino rescue facility and orphanage, a chance to meet rhino carers and hear their story. Travellers end their trip at a luxury safari lodge, with an exclusive presentation and meet with anti- poaching rangers and a chance to view animals in their natural habitat on daily guided game drives.

„You simply can’t get a true idea of the poaching issue, unless you speak directly to the people involved on the ground, which is when the reality of the issue can hit home for people. Captured In Africa are in the unique position already working with anti-poaching units as part of our foundation’s efforts, so by incorporating their efforts into a conservation safari, whereby tourists can both learn and „give back” is truly the best form of tourism we can do for wildlife right now.” says Captured In Africa’s sales & marketing Paul Tully.
The RHINO ROUTE conservation safari ties in with Captured In Africa’s responsible tourism approach of #safariforchange ensuring their safaris give back to people, habitat and wildlife.
