Paysend is expanding its long-standing partnership with Visa through a new program that will make Paysend’s Enterprise API — a technology interface that allows businesses to integrate Paysend’s payment capabilities into their own systems — available to Visa merchants and collaborators across North America. This expansion builds on established work between the two companies to help facilitate the movement of money across borders.
Since 2023, Paysend and Visa have worked together to enable customers to send money in real-time to Visa debit cards in more than 100 markets and territories, helping reduce delays and improving transparency in the payment process. By integrating Paysend’s technology with Visa’s vast network, this expanded collaboration aims to accelerate adoption among Visa’s merchant and collaborator ecosystem, enabling more businesses to offer real-time, transparent money transfers.
“Our ongoing collaboration with Paysend demonstrates the value of combining Visa’s global reach with innovative payment technology,” said Justin Zhao, Head of Global Partnerships and Sales at Visa Direct. “With this next phase, we are addressing common challenges in cross-border payments and helping to set new expectations for speed, transparency, and convenience in the industry.”
In September, the collaboration was featured in the launch of the new season of the ‘Paysend Series’ – Paysend’s interview series spotlighting industry trends and forward thinkers. Filmed at Visa’s San Francisco headquarters, the first episode featured Justin Zhao of Visa Direct, kicking off a season dedicated to thought leadership and open dialogue on the future of cross-border money transfer and digital payments.
