| Trieste, 27 August 2025 – Harvesting grapes and uncovering the secrets hidden among the vineyard rows, guided by expert hands: in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the grape harvest becomes a touristic and educational experience open to all. The initiative involves ten wineries along the Wine and Taste Route of Friuli Venezia Giulia, guardians of a heritage of knowledge preserved and passed down through generations.
The experience is designed for a wide audience offering different programs: some wineries have created itineraries for families, with simple and engaging activities also suitable for children, for a safe and relaxing experience in the vineyards. Other wineries offer experiences for wine experts and enthusiasts, with a more technical focus on grape ripening, the art of winemaking, and guided tastings of selected wines. Other wineries have chosen to focus on the convivial aspect of the grape harvest, offering participants the opportunity to take part in the traditional grape pickers’ working lunch.
Friuli Venezia Giulia, through PromoTurismoFVG and the regional coordination of the National Association ‘Città del Vino’, was the first region in Italy to sign a memorandum of understanding in 2023 to promote the value of the harvest as a touristic and educational experience, enhancing the region’s tourism offering.
