United by love and a shared passion for cycling, British pair Amy and Kyle Hudson have set their sights on a new challenge: breaking the world record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by bicycle as a couple — with Santini Cycling by their side. An extreme undertaking with a clear purpose: to beat the current record of 204 days and raise funds for Shout, an organisation dedicated to mental health support. Following Amy’s Tour de France Challenge — 6,556 km in 29 days and £93,000 raised — this project marks a bold new chapter in a journey defined by sport, resilience and solidarity. Throughout their ride, Santini will provide versatile, high-performance technical kit, essential for tackling the varied climates and conditions they will encounter on a journey set to inspire.

Their names are Amy and Kyle. They are a couple in life and, for the past few years, also in the saddle. In May 2026, they will embark on an extraordinary mission: to set a new world record for cycling around the globe as a pair, supported by Santini Cycling. The journey will be extreme and demanding, but driven by a charitable goal: to raise funds for Shout, a charity offering 24/7 support to people experiencing mental health difficulties.

It all began during lockdown. During a particularly challenging period for Amy, Kyle decided to buy her a bicycle — a gesture that proved to be a turning point. Pedal by pedal, Amy rediscovered her balance and strength. From there grew her journey as a content creator (on Instagram @amy.cycling.adventures, she has over 100k followers), always with a clear message: sport, and cycling in particular, as a tool for self-care.

The round-the-world project is the natural evolution of that path. „The idea was born during a cycling trip from Venice to Derby, in the UK,” Amy recalls, „but it really took shape in August 2025, when I completed my Tour de France Challenge.”

In 2025, Amy covered 6,556 km in 29 days, taking on all 21 stages of the Tour de France along with the transfers between each stage — a challenge through which she raised an impressive £93,000 for Shout.

„I’m so happy to be sharing this passion with Kyle. We’re both determined, motivated, and ready to push through hardship if it means reaching our goal. We believe you only live once, and that experiences are there to be lived to the fullest,” Amy adds.

Preparing for an endeavour of this scale is intense, particularly for Kyle, who must balance training with his full-time job as a builder. Their programme includes two to three high-intensity turbo sessions per week, long rides at the weekend, and — more recently — a bikepacking trip across the UK to test their set-up, bikes and bags.

Within that set-up, clothing is one of the most critical elements — and this is where Santini’s support has been invaluable. „Having a brand like Santini behind us means the world to us. We’ll be facing very different climates and will have limited luggage space, so it’s essential to have kit that is versatile, compact and capable of delivering maximum comfort. After supporting me during the Tour de France Challenge, Santini has once again proven to be the ideal choice for this adventure,” Amy says.

The design of the custom jersey created by Santini for Amy and Kyle is inspired by shooting stars. During the 2023 Paris–Brest–Paris, their first major endurance challenge together, Amy began to suffer with saddle sores in the final. At that very moment, they saw a shooting star, an image that gave them the push they needed to keep going all the way to the finish. Since then, the shooting star has become a symbol of hope and resilience for them: an invitation to keep moving forward even when the road becomes more difficult.

Their goal is to complete the circumnavigation in between 150 and 170 days, comfortably beating the current record of 204 days. „If we manage to set the new record, we hope to inspire others. We want to show that we are often capable of far more than we believe — and that with determination and support, every challenge can be faced and overcome,” Kyle concludes.

The route begins in France and will take the pair through Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Canada, the United States, Portugal and Spain.
