Sometimes it’s not the hotel guests who want to mark their birthday with a lot of fanfare, or in a small way in a special place, but the hotels themselves. This year, several of our sustainable hotel partners are celebrating special anniversaries. Whether it is 1, 10 or 50 years, we believe that sustainable commitment is always worth celebrating!
1 year of Sicilian flair and happy guests
In July, the ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA on the southern coast of the Italian island of Sicily is looking forward to celebrating its first birthday with old and new guests. Just one year after the luxurious spa hotel reopened, guests have a lot to look forward to. For example, the fruit and vegetable garden is bringing its first harvest to guests’ plates. New highlights add to the cultural and activity program, and the rugged naturalness of the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve continues to provide the ideal backdrop for relaxation.
10 years of sustainable commitment and organic passion
It’s okay to treat yourself to a 10th birthday, thought Stephan Bode and his team from the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA, opening 21 new Circular Living rooms in late June, just in time for the anniversary. For those who can’t wait: Three sample rooms in the Freigeist, Waldklang and Falkenstein designs can already be booked.
The new room concept sets the highest standards in sustainable (interior) architecture. Designed entirely according to the Cradle to Cradle® principle, they also feature a cozy design that makes guests feel right at home.
Even though this homemade gift is pretty cool, there are of course other highlights for the guests on the occasion of the 10th anniversary. For example, a special anniversary wine, organic of course, was produced and has been available for tasting since May.
50 years of love for nature, bees and guests
Organic beekeeping and a hotel? Can that be combined? Of course you can! And it has been for 50 years. The APIPURA hotel rinner on the South Tyrolean Ritten shows it. The love for nature and bees is evident in the smallest details and in the whole, making it easy for guests to understand and share this love. In addition to Api Wellness, the unique flagship of the hotel, and the weekly, popular honey dinner, this year there are numerous other offers under the sign of the bee.

Take a shower, save water, save the world
Taking a shower is considered more sustainable than taking a bath. However, it depends on the shower! With „rain showers” and „waterfall showers”, as they were trendy in luxurious hotels for a long time, a whole 20 liters per minute run through. This is quite different in sustainable hotels! But don’t worry – you don’t have to settle for a trickle – instead, there are innovative astronaut showers and air bubbles – some even with panoramic outdoor views.
